Baja Rain Storm

Here is an entire sequence of a free jumping marlin from the East Cape of Baja. (www.vanwormerresorts.com) This marlin jumped another 4 or 5 times and I have another nearly identical sequence of pics showing the fish jumping, rolling and landing on its head. The theory is that they jump to dislodge parasites and it seems that the way they jump supports that theory. ...�

Free Jumper

For the third time, I traveled to Wallowa Lake to try to capture Wallowa's giant kokanee on film. This time I took my wife Anne and daughter, Emeline. Emeline is in the show this time fishing with Gary Miralles of Shasta Tackle and world record kokanee holder, Ron Campbell. We didn't get a giant but Gary did net a nearly 4 lb. kokanee, a world class fish in any lake but in Wallowa it's just another good size fish.Brian Russell had a record breaking trip catching 7.47 lb. line class world record, a great fish but still over 2.5 lbs. off the overall world record caught by Ron Campbell.Besides the fishing, the area has much to offer including the Wallowa Lake Tramway which takes you to the top of Mt. Howard to over 8,000 feet for awesome views of the Wallowa Mts. and the Eagle Cap Wilderness Area....�
