ALL OUR BILLS ARE IN! Last Thursday was the last day to drop bills in the hopper. The halls of the House of Delegates were abuzz with activity and everyone was on the lookout for the guy delivering blue backs. We received our last two bluebacks on Thursday morning and dropped them first thing before the rush! HB 1292 allows cameras in self-contained special education classrooms and HB 1294 requires that local police precincts post the availability of a private room for any sensitive issue to avoid making victims discuss details in a public space.

I was honored to be recognized by The Maryland State Council on Child Abuse and Neglect along with Maryland Essentials for Childhood for being one of the leaders in the General Assembly twho recognizes the importance of preventing child abuse and responding to early childhood trauma.
