News from Area 10 - Things are looking up!
Hello, Area 10 Friends!!!
Things are looking up! Our COVID numbers are going down and things are opening back up. Continue to check on your events as some may still be canceled but the chances are less and less. So, keep in mind these events which are coming up, in case you're itching to ring!!
* An online class on Weaving with P.L. Grove is scheduled for Saturday, April 9th. You can find out more or sign up here:
* The Big Sky Festival in Missoula has been rescheduled to April 29-30 with Michael Glasgow as Conductor!! Information can be found here: Big-Sky-Festival-Information.pdf
* You can find more information for nationwide events at Handbell Musicians of America
Our next focus as an Area is to get our Chimes that are available for loan in each state back out to our members. We will have information on this program to you all very soon so keep your ears open for schools or church groups that might be interested in borrowing chimes for the year.
Finally, over the next five months we will be introducing you to our State Chairs from Area 10. They will be your contacts if you are interested in the Chime Loan Program or for any other questions in your state. Here is your contact info:
Alaska Valentine
Idaho Rasmussen
Montana Hightower
Oregon Dixon
Washington Ramsey-Warner
Hope to see you at a concert or an event soon. Let's Ring!!!

Good News! Area 10's own Ellie Hodder has volunteered to organize and lead an Ad Hoc choir of Area 10 ringers to prepare for the massed ringing events at the International Handbell Symposium in Nashville, TN this summer.

Great News! The even better news is that a local (to Nashville) church has graciously agreed to loan us their bells and tables, etc. so we won't have to haul gear to Tennessee. Yeah!!!! Many thanks to our former Alaska State Chair, Sheri Roach, for making those arrangements.

The choir is at capacity, but some folks aren't fully committed to attending yet, so we will create a waiting list. To sign up for the choir, please fill out this form. It will be sent to Ellie.

For more information, send an email to Ellie (

I look forward to ringing with you.
