Getting Back Into the Ring of Things............... From the Editor
Every bit of that pun was intended! I was so unmotivated to get back to handbells until I "attended" the Siskiyou Summit virtual event and then saw the plans developing for the 2021 Area 10 Conference - Area 10 Goes Glo-Bell. Diane Barnes is SO, SO, SO creative! I decided to try to reassemble the local choir here and work on the massed ringing songs for the Area 10 Virtual Conference. We're planning to spend the evening and day together enjoying each other's company, getting caught up with everyone, watching the virtual event and getting back into the RING of things.

This is a perfect restart for our group. A very short time window focused on one very specific event. Because it's a massed ringing event, it doesn't matter if we have some holes. Then we'll plan to get back to normal in the fall, and pick up where we left off. My husband had just built a bell tree for us and we were working up Louise Frier's, The Journey, to perform at the Big Sky Handbell Festival, when COVID hit.

I hope everyone is feeling their spirits lifted by the improving COVID situation. We still need to be careful, so take care to stay safe.

We've got a great lineup of events for 2022. I'm hoping to attend every one - to make up for lost time. See you there! Somewhere!
Please take the time to check out the area 10 website. In fact, you should bookmark it.
https://area10.handbellmusicians.org. All the best scoop about upcoming events is under the Events Menu. And this is the year of the area 10 conference. There's a separate page just for the conference information.

Please feel free to share this newsletter and the website with your fellow ringing friends. Anyone who wants to regularly receive communications (typically 1-2 per month) can sign up below.

Take care. Stay safe. So we can all ring together again soon.

Joann

P.S. - We still need an Idaho state chair. Please consider volunteering.
