News from Area 10
Greetings

I just received an announcement for the first in-person event in Area 10 since the COVID-19 pandemic shut everything down. Please see the notice below for the Read & Ring hosted by the Bells of the Cascades.

A few months ago, it seemed inevitable that life would be returning to normal, although maybe a slightly different new normal. I had no doubt in my mind that my church's choir would be starting back when school started. My local community choir ringers are looking forward to ringing again. As directors or managers of choirs, we could be facing a difficult decision. I would like to hear from you what your thoughts and plans are for returning to in-person ringing. Will you provide for social distancing? If so, how? Will you use more bells with fewer people by incorporating things like a bell tree? There are so many different considerations that we are all facing. Let's share thoughts and face these issues together. I'd like the September lead article to be input from you to all of us. Please send me your input throughout the month.

Ring joyfully, yet safely.
