Election Results are in and the winner is (drum roll please)...
All of us!!!! We are so fortunate to have 4 highly qualified candidates who were willing to serve on the Board for the next 4 and 6 years. And let's give a big Thank You to out-going Treasurer, Brian Parrott for his 4 years of service. Thank you, Brian.
I have managed to learn my way around the website development platform enough to sketch out a website design that has been shared with the Board. The new website should go live within the next couple weeks. I'm including a page for ensembles. If you would like to have your ensemble listed on our website, please send me information about your ensemble and contact information. If you have a website, we can provide a link to your website. I would love to get lots of current photos of you, your ensembles, your logos, etc. to add spice and color to the website. Please send them to my
webmaster address.
Please feel free to contact me with suggestions for both the website and this newsletter. Contact information for all of the Area 10 Board are in the left sidebar of this newsletter. If you need information that was on the website, also contact me. I do have all the content of the old website that I can search for the information you want. Hopefully this will be a short and not too painful transition.
Please forward this newsletter to your choir members and to anyone else who would be interested in all the concerts and events. Encourage them to subscribe to the newsletter. Click "Join our mailing list" at the bottom of the left column. With permission, I can also add names and addresses.

Notes from the Chair
Greetings-
The ballots have been returned, counted and attested... and the Executive Committee of the Area 10 Board is again complete. Joining Diane Hould (Past Chair), myself (Chair) and Wendy Goodheart (Secretary) are Barb Silvey (Chair Elect) and Kylie Johnson (Treasurer). Barb is a retired Spokane High School teacher and has rung bells and participated in local, Area and National bell events since the early 1990s. Her bio is HERE. Kylie is the director of a church music program in Vancouver, WA and an active member of Bells of the Cascades. She regularly attends the National Seminar and Distinctly Bronze. Her bio is HERE. On behalf of the Area 10 Board, I wish to welcome our two new officers aboard and we look forward to working with them.
And... a hearty Thank You to the two candidates (John Sparkman and Janice Brown) who filled out our ballot, both highly qualified individuals. Hope to see you both around the Area!
NOW if we could only fill the appointive position of Washington State Chair so those of you in Washington would have representation on the Board. If you might be interested, let me know and I'll send you the Job Description.
Our Campanologist Editor, Joann Wallenburn, did an excellent job with a Supplemental edition of our publication a few weeks ago promoting the handbell events happening this spring. There is something for everyone in almost every area with nationally known Clinicians, classes, massed ringing and general "comradery". I hope you are planning on attending at least one of these events, as a choir, an orphan or with friends. I am planning to be at a number of them.
Until next edition,
Glen
