National Seminar Registration Opening Soon
Meet us in St. Louis July 16-20 for our annual National Seminar and Distinctly Teen.

Our summer events offer something for ALL handbell musicians.

This is the first time I have ever even looked at what goes on at the National Seminar.  Did you know the full registration provides 20 hours of classes?  Plus 8 concerts?  All packed into 4 days?  Wow!  I'm already getting excited.  I've already picked out the classes I want to take.  I've selected classes on buckets, four in hand, other multiple bell techniques, change ringing, problem solving, solo ringing, bell trees, and handbell director boot camp, which includes - - well, everything.

There's plenty of time to rest up after the
before heading to the National Seminar.

Area Spring Ringing Events
Don't miss out on these ringing opportunities in our area.

SOUNDSCAPES

Ashland, Oregon

Our Guest conductor this year is Barbara Meinke with Ellie Hodder conducting the Bronze Conference Choir track. Barbara Meinke holds a BA in Music from Cal State Fullerton and is celebrating 25 years directing handbell and choral music at Hope Lutheran Church in Temecula, CA. A conductor and teacher in her heart and soul, Barbara has taught classes and inspired massed ringers at past National Seminars and events all over the United States and in Germany. She is in demand as a substitute teacher and enjoys cooking and entertaining, crafting, and traveling. Barbara brings enthusiasm, energy and superb musicianship to the classroom and podium.

Participation in the Bronze Conference Choir is by application. The rehearsals for BCC begin on Friday afternoon at 4pm. Massed Ringing rehearsals begin at 7pm followed by a show case concert.

The theme for 2019 is "Soundscapes"-  Repertoire

Registration for the event will be $70/person if registered by March 1st, after March 1st registration will be $75/person. Registrations will be accepted beginning January 1st, space is limited. Orphans welcome! For registration materials click here.

Workshops this year will focus on ringing techniques-handbells and choir chimes, that optimize the quality of the sound produced by the handbells. Linda Duffendack Oxley and Beth Mays will join the teaching staff this May. They bring years of handbell experience from both sides of the podium to Siskiyou Summit ready to share that experience with others to help you grow your ringing skills set.
