2012 Conference Logo

It was great seeing so many of you at the Area 10 Conference in Tacoma. Wow! The musicality and technical excellent of Vivace was inspiring. I heard many people talking about what they were learning in the classes. William Payn and Shirley Lindberg brought the music to life as everyone rang. If you weren't able to attend, watch for information about the 2014 conference and start planning now to attend.

Our newsletter comes out the beginning of every month. Some times there are more articles and happenings than other months. Please send information about any handbell concerts or events you are planning so it can be publicized here. We also want to reach as many people as possible who are involved with handbells in Area 10, so please forward this newsletter to other directors and ringers  you know, encouraging them to subscribe.

Has your email address changed? It is very easy to update it for our newsletter. At the very bottom, there is a link to "update profile/email address." Simply click it and make the changes.

Nancy Hascall in Sunriver, Oregon on September 29

Nancy Hascall will lead a workshop on Musicality for the Handbell Choir, focusing on what musicality is and how you achieve it for your choir. It will also include how weaving, four-in-hand, and other techniques can help you in your choir ringing. Husband Glen will teach bass bell ringing. Time will also be given for your choir, ensemble or soloist to have a private coaching session with Nancy. Homestays with ringers are available on a first-come basis. Sunriver is a great place to bring the family and friends and enjoy the outdoors as well. For further information, contact Barbara Brocker at [email protected] or 541-593-7396.
