Normally Nia Jams are held by the San Francisco Bay Area Nia Association, but on Sunday, October 24, 2010, the Cupertino YMCA welcomed Nia Teachers from all over the Bay Area to help support the Youth Program at the Y.  Gilia presently teaches at the Y and thought that having a Nia Jam would be a great way to raise money for the program and spread the Joy of Nia . . . . both at the same time.  What a GREAT idea it proved to be.  Even though the day was cold and rainy, the beautiful space at the Y was Joyfully filled with over 25 dancing bodies.  The event brought in over $450.00 which will help support the Youth Program at the Cupertino YMCA.
