"She felt she could be herself. She was surrounded by fun people. She LOVED being disconnected from technology. She made connections with her faith. She loved being in nature. She loved the sense of community that developed at BCC during her time there."

This was a parent's response after their camper attended summer camp this past year. But these words could have been said by camper parents literally any of the 49 summers prior. Connection to faith, nature, and community has been core to Bear Creek Camp since 1974 and before with our foundations with Camps Hagan, Miller, and Ministerium.

If you're receiving this newsletter, there's a very good chance that you have a similar story of how BCC made an impact. As we kick off our commemoration of fifty summers at Bear Creek Camp, it's each of these countless stories that we are excited to celebrate most.

To write the next chapter of BCC stories, we know that all of what we are depends on the annual support of hundreds of committed individuals, families, and congregations. Financial contributions offset the cost of camp for camper families and provide for ministry opportunities like employing our team of college-aged summer staff.
