BLMS Families,

2024 is off to a phenomenal start! We welcomed students back with a PBIS Stinger Scavenger Hunt to practice expectations in all different locations of the school. Then, we had Corey Greenwood (sponsored by Positive Community Norms) present to students about why their stories matter and provide an engaging space to talk about hard conversations while having fun!

Conference night is coming up for Big Lake Middle School and Big Lake Online students on February 8th starting at 4:00pm. We look forward to connecting with you!

Regards,

Principal, Mark Ernst & Assistant Principal, Randi Anderson

Lions Quest in Advisory

Lions Quest is a our advisory curriculum, and students attend advisory every Monday and Tuesday of each week. Students participate in service learning, learn skills like conflict resolution, how to identity emotions, how to build healthy relationships and so much more! Advisories are taught by a teacher that will follow (loop) with the same group of students for their years in the middle school. Our hope is to build positive connections and relationships with each other and with our awesome team of teachers and support staff. Take a peak in some of our advisory classrooms below!

Lions Quest has engaging visuals to work through different emotions and the why behind the emotions.

Finish the Lions Quest lesson? It's time to connect, build community and practice teamwork through minute to win it games. This is how Ms. Ostendorf's advisory celebrates the DETERMINATION shown in class!
