I hope you have been enjoying the summer months so far. Our students will soon be returning to campus after a summer filled with research, jobs and hopefully, time to relax and rejuvenate themselves for the busy semester ahead. White Coat Ceremony is quickly approaching. I will once again have the honor of leading our new first-year medical students in the Hippocratic Oath at the Ceremony. This is an awesome moment and I treasure this opportunity. After this, our students will jump into the new
semester, and be seeing patients before you know it!
I invite you to take a look at this month's Alumni Spotlight.
Jeffrey Johnson, MD,shares his own fond memories of spending time with classmates and getting to know impactful professors. If you too would like to be featured in an upcoming month, you can submit your responses here.
"My husband, Joe, (BUSGD '81) and I met in anatomy lab. The legendary Dr. McNary was our professor. Our cadavers had been husband and wife! They were 2 tables apart, and we spent a lot of time together in anatomy lab! When folks ask us how we met, we can say "over dead bodies." We've been married 35 years!"
