School of Medicine Alumni Newsletter
Greetings,

What a difference a year makes. Record breaking snowfall last winter, mild and relatively snow-free this year. We'll take it!

Last month, in honor of Black History Month, we sponsored a special event that brought together alumni who shared a broad spectrum of ideas and experiences related to being a student and physician of color through the decades, reaching as far back as 1949.  We owe a great deal of thanks to Kate Phaneuf MED '88, who brought this distinguished group together.

On March 18, the Class of 2016 will learn their destiny. The Alumni Association will host a celebratory party for them and we will post a video and images on social media for all to see and share.  We would love to share your thoughts with the students.

We invite you share your Match Day experience with these soon-to-be-alumni and perhaps offer some encouraging pearls of wisdom.

We will post alumni congratulations and comments in Hiebert Lounge so the students can review them while they are counting down the minutes and seconds until they open their match results.

So please, write down some thoughts.  I know the students will appreciate It. They really treasure these interactions with BUSM alumni. We ask that you please submit your comments by March 14 by clicking HERE.

Warm regards,

Associate Dean for Alumni Affairs
Vice Chair of Education and Program Director of Ophthalmology
Associate Professor, Ophthalmology and Pediatrics
