The snow has melted and spring is in the air! The BUSM community and our community of alums continue to give of their time, energy, and resources.
Earlier this month we held our first Saturday Phonathon! Despite having exams and Super Bowl activities, students, along with alums, made personal contact with 191 BUSM alumni from coast to coast. We are still tallying the monies received so keep posted!
Registration for Alumni Weekend 2017 has launched! The agenda and logistics can be found on our Alumni Weekend page. Many alums have already volunteered to take part in gathering their classmates for this hallmark weekend. Our Alumni Spotlight this month, Alvin N. Eden, MD, is one of many alumni who are taking to their phones and laptops to contact classmates, sharing news on how to make a class gift for their reunion and what to expect for festivities. If you too would like to get involved, we would love to hear from you. Peer to peer involvement is critical to developing a meaningful reunion.
Students, faculty, staff, and alumni participated in the Women's March in Washington, D.C. and other cities around the country. One of many groups is highlighted here.
As we move closer to Match Day the Alumni Association invites you to participate in the celebration by passing onto the graduating class your Words of Wisdom. I invite you to submit your statements here. We will post your personal comments on Match Day for the students to review. This is a great opportunity for our alumni to wish the Class of 2017 well and also share some advice.
Thank you for being a part of this community. I invite you to stay engaged in whatever capacity works for you.
All the best.
