Stay Informed: BGCS Operations Levy and Voting Information

As we approach the May 6, 2025 election, it's important for our community to stay informed about what’s on the ballot, what's at stake, and how to participate in the election process.

Home Runs & High Notes: Spring Break Adventures in Athletics & the Arts

Spring break was anything but quiet for some of our Bowling Green City Schools students!

Members of our softball and baseball teams traveled to Myrtle Beach, where they competed in the Cal Ripken Experience tournament, built team bonds, and represented BGCS with pride on and off the field.

Meanwhile, our Choir students headed to the Disney World Performing Arts Program in Florida. In addition to performing, they took part in an exciting Disney Vocal Soundtrack Session, where they got a behind-the-scenes look at the world of studio music and voice acting. Students recorded sound effects, lines, and music to a scene from Frozen—creating their very own mini-movie! They also had fun swimming at the beach and going to Universal Studios, Disney's Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Medieval Times.

We’re proud of the way our students continue to learn, grow, and shine—both in the classroom and beyond.

BGMS Learning Center Dives into Marine Science at BGSU

The BGMS Learning Center students and staff recently took an exciting educational field trip to the BGSU Marine Lab, where they got hands-on with marine life and explored the fascinating world of aquatic science.

Led by Dr. Partin and his students from BGSU, the day kicked off with a fun and interactive marine animal scavenger hunt. Students had the incredible opportunity to feed and interact with a variety of marine animals—including fish, an eel, starfish, a horseshoe crab, and stingrays!

They also got up close with research projects involving jellyfish and explored the unique characteristics of marine invertebrates, handling both starfish and horseshoe crabs.

Thank you to Dr. Partin, his students, and our BGMS LC staff for creating such a memorable, hands-on learning experience for our students!

Lessons of Love from History: Eighth Graders Hear from Holocaust Survivor

Mrs. Glass shared her powerful story of survival, resilience, and hope, reminding students of the importance of compassion in the face of hatred. Her lasting message: “Don’t hate. Lead with love.” Thank you to our staff for guiding students through this impactful experience and helping history come to life in such a meaningful way.
