Message from the Superintendent

Dear Members of the Bowling Green City Schools Community,

Bowling Green City Schools is truly blessed to have such dedicated and passionate individuals making a difference in the lives of our students. We are fortunate to have a team of outstanding educators who help shape the future of our community every day. As legendary Ohio State Buckeyes football coach Woody Hayes once said, “You win with people.” While our teachers don’t compete on the field, the sentiment still rings true—our schools are only as strong as the amazing people who make them thrive.

Each February, the Bowling Green Kiwanis Club takes time to honor some of the exceptional educators in our community with their Inspirational Educator Award. This month-long celebration is dedicated to recognizing local teachers for their hard work, dedication, and the positive impact they have on their students and the broader community. Each week, a remarkable teacher is selected to be recognized, giving us the opportunity to celebrate their contributions and hear more about their inspiring journeys.

The honorees are selected through a peer-nomination process, followed by a committee review by the Kiwanians. It’s a special honor to be chosen, and this year, I am thrilled to congratulate Heather Kramer, Annette Teet, and Michelle Thomas for their outstanding work.

  • Heather Kramer, the music teacher at Kenwood Elementary, inspires students to explore their creativity and develop a love for music. Her passion for teaching and commitment to her students has made a lasting impact on the entire school.
  • Annette Teet, a Kindergarten teacher at Kenwood Elementary, is known for her dedication to building a strong foundation for her young learners. She fosters a warm and nurturing environment that encourages curiosity and a love for learning.
  • Michelle Thomas, a fifth-grade English Language Arts teacher at Crim Elementary, makes reading and writing exciting for her students. She is a tireless advocate for her students growth, helping them develop both academically and personally.

These educators exemplify the heart of Bowling Green City Schools, and we are so proud to have them as part of our community.

I would like to take a moment to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Bowling Green Kiwanis Club for honoring our educators in this special way. Your recognition helps us celebrate the incredible work happening every day in our classrooms. Congratulations again to Heather, Annette, and Michelle – you are truly inspirational!

Go Bobcats,
