Though it's not officially Summer yet, for most of us, Memorial Day weekend sets Summer in motion with outdoor activities, family get-togethers, and of course, cookouts. 

In my last newsletter, I shared news of some of my songs that have been recorded recently, and this time, I'll share news of a new recipe I've had published. I am so fortunate to explore both of my passions and to be able to share them with others. Speaking of sharing, each week there are different music and recipe videos on my website's home page.  Brittany's Recipe Featured in Taste of Home Magazine

As some of you know, I have been a Volunteer Field Editor for Taste of Home Magazine for several years having had many recipes and stories featured. It always thrills me when they choose to publish a recipe of mine knowing how many submissions they receive.

In the most recent issue of their magazine (Summer 2018), they published my recipe for Honey Mustard Red Potato Salad. 

My inspiration for this recipe was to create a potato salad recipe that you could serve at a cookout without the food safety concerns of something mayonnaise based. This heart healthy, crunchy, zesty salad is all that and then some. Check it out on page 76 of the magazine, but in case you don't subscribe, just for you, I'm sharing the recipe here.

Chicken, It's What's for Grilling!

Looking for something to pair with the potato salad? Try Grilled Spice Rubbed Chicken Thighs. Sometimes I just prefer the flavor of dark meat, and chicken thighs are perfect for grilling. I love a great presentation, and this short tip video demonstrates how to make a scallion curl garnish - it would be great plated with the Honey Mustard Red Potato Salad. Everyone will want to know just how you did it!
