One of the things I love the most about working at the Community Foundation for Mississippi is seeing the love and care Mississippians have for their corner of the world. Every fund holder at CFM and every person who supports them in return have a reason for supporting good causes in their community. Whether it's animal shelters, the local nature center, symphony, theatre or pediatric cancer research - CFM is there for neighbors to support neighbors.

Curious how you can also be a part of the CFM family? Trust me, it's easy. When you hear the word "foundation," dollar signs probably come to mind. But you don't have to be a millionaire to give like one. At CFM, the ripple effects are bigger because we can help your dollar meet the need you care about most. With localized community expertise, we can help you envision - and then build - your legacy for the long term.

Book Lovers Unite: Let's Read!
The Mississippi Book Festival is this weekend! The Community Foundation for Mississippi is proud to be the presenting funder and fiscal home of the festival. We can't wait to see everyone at the state's Literary Lawn Party! Did you the Community Foundation for Mississippi has many ways to support book lovers across our area? From libraries to the Mississippi Book Festival, the Community Foundation for Mississippi has ways to support organizations that are creating more book lovers every year.
Ways to Give at CFM
You don’t have to be a millionaire to give like one. The Community Foundation for Mississippi works with you to support nonprofits, community-based organizations and causes that you’re passionate about. But to make a lasting impact takes thought, strategy and planning.

Friends of Andrew Bucci Fund - Grant Extended!
Hoping to apply for the Friends of Andrew Bucci Art Fund's art supply grant for teachers? Never fear! The deadline has been extended to accommodate the beginning-of-school rush.

The deadline is now August 31, 2022. Grant awards of up to $500 each are for the acquisition of art supplies such as paper, paint, paint brushes, pencils, markers, clay and other materials that provide hands-on opportunities for students to create artworks using a variety of media.
The LGBTQ Fund of Mississippi Announces 2022 Grants
The LGBTQ Fund of Mississippi at the Community Foundation for Mississippi recently announced 2022 annual grants totaling $135,000 for ten programs around the state of Mississippi. Decisions were informed by the Needs Assessment from the Mississippi LGBTQ Study.

“I am truly excited about the opportunity to meet the moment for many LGBTQ organizations across the state,” said Justin Lofton, chair of the LGBTQ Fund of Mississippi. “The LGBTQ community faces enormous challenges and I’m proud that the Fund is helping to close the gap and ease the burdens with its grantmaking. We look forward to continuing the work.”
Video of the Month: Planetarium
Through the establishment of the Friends of the Planetarium Fund, the Community Foundation for Mississippi welcomed donors from the private sector to assist in funding the renovation of the Russell C. Davis Planetarium in Jackson, Mississippi.

Now, the sky is truly the limit for the planetarium’s future as it embarks on renovations to bring a stellar experience to visitors from across the state.
