Woodlawn Construction Loan Fund

CIC has approved nearly $2,700,000 through the Woodlawn Construction Loan Fund! This includes a gutted 8-unit West Woodlawn apartment building that is set to receive brand-new renovations!

The Woodlawn Construction Loan Fund is part of the City of Chicago’s Woodlawn Housing Preservation Ordinance, which aims to protect Woodlawn residents from displacement and encourage affordable housing development and preservation. Our low-cost construction loans are for local owner-developers who are looking to rehab or build new homes in Woodlawn.

Local, minority-led businesses with a history of positive work in Woodlawn and businesses committed to hiring local and minority contractors are especially encouraged to apply.
