California Institute for Human Science participates in MTO Shahmaghsoudi Oneness event

CIHS was honored to be invited to participate in a beautiful community event, Oneness, an artistic and cross-cultural celebration of unity & peace. The “Beloved’s Garden of Oneness” was a diverse, interfaith, artistic, and musical celebration of “Oneness of Existence”.

The goal of this event was to promote the spirit of unity, inclusion, love, and peace within the community through the universal language of ART and music! Wonderful performances by the Encinitas Ballet Company were featured, as well as live performances of music, and displays of original art.

CIHS President, Dr. Thomas Brophy, was one of the keynote speakers, and presented a talk on the bridge between Oneness and Science. Click the link below to view a recording of his speech.

Dr. Farnaz Khoromi, CIHS School of Psychology Program Director, was also one of the keynote speakers. She teaches a course on Islamic Sufism, and infuses her 30 year studies with MTO Shahmaghsoudi into her teachings.

Other sponsors included Encinitas local businesses SDIMA (San Dieguito Interfaith Ministerial Association), Poway Interfaith Team, Seaside Center for Spiritual Living, Salaam, Encinitas Ballet Company, Yay Flute! Encinitas Flute Studio, The Violin Shop, PB interfaith coalition.

A Conversation with Kate Shelest, RN BSN MAIH Vice President of the Canadian Holistic Nurses Association. In this period of stress and burnout in our health care systems, join us for this timely seminar and hear one nurse’s personal journey from the allopathic system to holistic nursing practice. Based on her MAIH thesis, Kate developed the Conscious Nurse Project, a holistic self-care program for nursing professionals.

Kate will discuss ways to bring others on board, integrate holistic theory into current practice, and support nurses with body mind spirit approaches to self-care.
Fundamental Wellbeing, Positive Psychology, and the Technology of Transformation
New Summer Course with Dr. Jeffery A. Martin

Investigate the transformation of consciousness, both theoretically and first hand. Progress towards your own rapid and safe transition to, or deepening in, Fundamental Wellbeing (i.e.: enlightenment, nonduality, the peace that passeth understanding, etc.) using a scientifically derived, peer-reviewed protocol that has 70+% effectiveness. Explore the present and future relationships between humanity, the search for happiness & flourishing, and technology. Study and develop the core questions, concerns, ethical considerations, and broad implications of both higher levels of consciousness, and the well-being related technologies that are shaping human culture and consciousness. This rigorous course draws from science and technology studies, contemplative science, neurophenomenology, positive psychology, biomedical engineering, central nervous system stimulation, and neurofeedback.
CIHS in action out in the world.....
Our alumni, faculty, staff, and friends are doing inspiring work that enhances life with their consciousness studies involving the
mind-body-spirit connection!
CIHS Alumni, Michelle Leuschen
I am so pleased with, and proud of, my recent PhD in Integral Health from CIHS. Nowhere else could I have achieved such a blended education of psychology, spirituality, and consciousness. The instructors were all well qualified and knowledgeable, assignments were reasonable, and for this full-time single mother, a PhD was achievable! Thank you to everyone in the CIHS Family who supported me along the way. I would highly recommend CIHS to anyone.

CIHS really gave me the confidence I needed to expand my private practice. I also have now begun running international retreats for meditation and energy work. I feel well prepared to present myself as an expert in the field.

Michelle is now offering special retreats in Mexico! Rest and Revive retreats offers its next luxurious retreat opportunity in Chacala Mexico. Daily yoga, meditation and energy work offered, as well as airport shuttle, lodging, daily breakfast, 2 dinners, and more. This retreat will take place at a private Hacienda with its own pool and private beach. Choose your retreat dates: October 15th-19th or October 19th-23rd. Email Michelle [email protected] for more information.
