Citizens who wish to provide public comment are invited to attend public meetings or can provide comment by dialing in by phone at the published time. To provide dial-in comment, call toll-free 888-475-4499 or 877-853-5257 and enter the Meeting ID 899 4188 8251 and passcode #. Callers will be provided further instruction during the meeting on how to indicate you wish to speak.

The Office on Aging, in partnership with CalvertHealth, is hosting booster clinics to those eligible in our community.

Vaccine clinics will be held throughout the remainder of the year at all three senior centers. 

Visit online to learn more and register for an appointment. For registration assistance, residents may call 410-535-0218, Monday, Wednesday or Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Public feedback on the initial draft resolution regarding the creation of a Police Accountability Board (PAB) is now available for public viewing on the PAB webpage. Members of the general public and community groups were invited to review and provide feedback through direct outreach, an online comment form, a public survey and a town hall meeting.

PAB updates will continue to be provided through the Calvert County Government website, Facebook page and Comcast channel 6/1070 HD. 
Looking for a fun family outing? Hutchins Pond in Owings and the pond at Calvert Cliffs State Park were each recently stocked with 400 golden and rainbow trout!

 Anglers who catch and register a trout that meets or exceeds the Angler Award minimum sizes with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (20 inches for a rainbow trout) will earn an Angler Award certificate!

Maryland fishing licenses and trout stamps are required for anglers ages 15 years and older. 
The Department of Parks & Recreation is offering festive events for residents to make the holiday season merry and bright.

Join in the Jingle Bell Jamboree on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, from 3-6 p.m. at King Memorial Park. Or, book your seat for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular Bus Trip on Friday, Dec. 10, 2021.

Due to recent storms and coastal flooding, the Solid Waste Division will allow citizens to drop off wood from damaged piers, un-bagged leaves, limbs, branches and logs no larger than 5 feet in length, for free at the Appeal Landfill.

Debris drop off will be available through Wednesday, Nov. 10, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Firewood will not be accepted. Storm-damaged housing materials such as sheetrock or flooring materials are accepted at the Appeal Landfill, but standard fees apply.
