Citizens who wish to provide public comment are invited to attend public meetings or can provide comment by dialing in by phone at the published time. To provide dial-in comment, call toll-free 888-475-4499 or 877-853-5257 and enter the Meeting ID 899 4188 8251 and passcode #. Callers will be provided further instruction during the meeting on how to indicate you wish to speak.

The Department of Public Works, General Services Division, announces that the Department of Human Resources, located at 30 Duke St., Suite 102, and Department of Economic Development, located at 100 Skipjack Road, will move from their current locations this week.
 
The Department of Human Resources will move to 184 A Main St. and the Department of Economic Development will move to 184 B Main St., both located in Prince Frederick.

The Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Division, will host free paper shredding events for county residents and businesses to help prevent identity theft by destroying confidential or sensitive documents.

The following shred events will be held from 9 a.m. to
1 p.m., rain or shine:

Celebrate National Night Out tomorrow, Tuesday, Aug. 2 with the Department of Parks & Recreation (P&R) and our community partners!

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. We will be celebrating in the following locations:

6-8 p.m. at Kellam's Field

5-7 p.m. at the Harriet E. Brown Community Center

6-8 p.m. in the Foxwood Community

P&R announces operating hours at Kings Landing Pool will increase beginning today, Monday, Aug. 1, 2022.

The pool will be available for open swim Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The pool was previously open Tuesday through Thursday from noon to 4 p.m.

The Department of Community Resources reminds citizens that food and resource assistance is available. Calvert County Public Schools (CCPS) is offering children ages 2-18 free grab-and-go meal kits containing five days of breakfast and lunch meals. Meals will be provided drive-thru style. Children do not have to be CCPS students to participate.
  
Citizens can also find a host of resource assistance and information at OurCalvert.org. From food or financial assistance to crisis, transportation and housing, OurCalvert.org is a hub of resource information.
