Citizens who wish to provide public comment are invited to attend public meetings or can provide comment by dialing in by phone at the published time. To provide dial-in comment, call toll-free 888-475-4499 or 877-853-5257 and enter the Meeting ID 899 4188 8251 and passcode #. Callers will be provided further instruction during the meeting on how to indicate you wish to speak.

By order of the Maryland Court of Appeals, Maryland’s 2022 Primary Election will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2022.

The deadline to file as a candidate has been extended to Friday, April 15, 2022 at 9 p.m.

The Calvert County Board of Elections office will remain open on April 15 until 9 p.m., and will observe normal business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., on the previous candidate filing deadline of March 22.

 The Department of Public Safety, Animal Services Division, in partnership with the Calvert County Health Department will host drive-thru rabies clinics to offer free rabies vaccinations for pets on the following dates:

April 20
May 18
June 15 

Clinics will be held Wednesdays, from 5-7 p.m. at the Linda L. Kelley Animal Shelter. Online registration is required. 

Calvert County pet licenses will also be available at the rabies clinics. Pet licenses are $7 for spayed or neutered pets (proof required) and $20 for those not spayed or neutered. 
Join us for eggceptional fun at our annual Easter Egg Hunt at Hallowing Point Park on Sunday, April 10 from 1-3 p.m.! Parks & Recreation will have egg hunts by age group, games, activities, photos with the Easter bunny (please bring your own camera) and a local food truck and vendors with goods for purchase. 

Egg hunts will start promptly at the designated time for each age group, please plan your arrival accordingly. 

Ages 3-5 years
egg hunt at 1:30 p.m.

Ages 6-8 years
egg hunt at 2 p.m.

Ages 9-12 years
egg hunt at 2:30 p.m.
