Citizens who wish to provide public comment are invited to attend public meetings or can provide comment by dialing in by phone at the published time. To provide dial-in comment, call toll-free 888-475-4499 or 877-853-5257 and enter the Meeting ID 899 4188 8251 and passcode #. Callers will be provided further instruction during the meeting on how to indicate you wish to speak.

The BOCC celebrated the Food Trucks on Main Street grand opening 
pilot program April 12, 2022 with a delicious lunch from Calvert Crabs.

Calvert Crabs is one of many vendors who will be stationed for lunch service in the breezeway next to the Courthouse Annex building located at 176 Main St. in Prince Frederick on Tuesdays and Fridays through April.
 
Calvert County food truck options range from barbecue to pizza to seafood and more. It's a great way to try something new while supporting local business.

Parks & Recreation and Chesapeake Hills Golf Course invites the community to join us for Family Fun Night at the course on Saturday,
April 23.

This fun family event will feature a shortened course with a discounted rate of $5 per person for golf and $5 per cart rental (carts seat two players) as well as food and drink specials. Tee times begin at 5 p.m. and must be booked in advance. You may book your family's tee time by calling

The Calvert County Board of Elections is accepting applications for individuals who wish to serve as election judges for the 2022 primary and general elections. 

No experience is required; election judges will receive comprehensive mandatory training in advance.

In addition, election judges will be compensated for training and for working on early voting and election days. Visit online for eligibility requirements and to apply. 
The Department of Public Works advises that road paving will begin in Solomons on or about Monday, April 25. Paving will begin at the causeway and extend to the roundabout at the end of Charles Street. Work will continue, weather permitting, until paving and permanent striping are complete. 

Electronic message boards will be posted to notify travelers of construction work. Residents, businesses and visitors are asked to be patient, remain alert and allow for longer commute times as crews work to maintain public infrastructure.
The Calvert County Treasurer’s Office reminds citizens that services are operational and offices are open to the public.
 
Customers can continue to submit payments using the drop box (now located in front of the Calvert County Circuit Courthouse), online or by mail through USPS, FedEx or UPS. All checks should be made payable to the Calvert County Treasurer's Office.

You're Invited to the
Breezy Point Blast-Off!

Enjoy an evening of family fun and fireworks at Breezy Point Beach & Campground from 5-9 p.m. on May 21! This free event will feature music, tasty food from local food trucks, games, activities and a magnificent fireworks display at dark. 

Preregistration is not required. Attendees are welcome to bring their own picnics and can come earlier in the day to enjoy the beach. Everyone is welcome to bring a picnic or use the grills at the beach; grills are available on a first-come,
first-served basis.
