CLINIC THIS WEEKEND

The Department of Public Safety, Animal Services Division, and the Calvert County Health Department are sponsoring a drive-thru rabies clinic to offer free rabies vaccinations for pets.

The clinic will be held Saturday, Oct. 23, 10 a.m. to noon at Huntingtown High School located at 4125 Solomons Island Road in Huntingtown.

PRESERVE OUR HISTORY

To honor and preserve the region's history, owners of properties with historic structures, such as barns or houses, are welcome to apply for official designation as a Calvert County historic district.

The Calvert County Health Department has updated guidance on eligibility requirements for residents who wish to register for a booster or third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Under new guidance, all citizens ages 16 or older, who have received either the initial Pfizer or Moderna vaccinations, are eligible to receive a booster dose.

The Department of Parks & Recreation held a public forum Thursday, Oct. 14, to receive input regarding updates to the Calvert County Land Preservation, Parks & Recreation Plan (LPPRP).
