You Are Invited to Participate in a Survey on CISV!

CISV Canada is a highly regarded organization with a goal of enhancing global awareness and sense of global citizenship. Unfortunately, the organization and the CISV experience are not all that well known at present, despite its already formidable contributions to the country and the world. This study is designed to address this situation.

Your feedback is an important factor as we analyze the personal and collective impact of CISV Canada and assess the medium and long-term effectiveness of CISV programs. The survey should take you about 15 minutes to complete.

The Next JB Activity is this Sunday, May 3

CISV Calgary Pathway & River Clean Up

You are all invited!!!  This activity is for all members of CISV Calgary, prospective families, travelling delegates, JB and leaders. (Please note a parent MUST accompany any children under the age of 12, City of Calgary rules)

What: A two-part activity:

  1. Cleaning the pathways as part of the City of Calgary's annual "Pathway and River Clean-Up"

  2. A JB picnic meeting to plan minicamp

Where:  We will be cleaning the upper and lower trails along the west side of Stoney Trail, from the corner of Tuscany Valley View and Tuscany Blvd South to Nosehill Drive

Meet in the parking lot just off of Tuscany Blvd SW after you exit from Stoney Trail

What to bring/wear:

  • This can be a dirty job, so you should be dressed appropriately. The City of Calgary suggests that you wear pants and sturdy shoes.

  • As well, you should bring:

    • Sunscreen

    • Bug spray

    • Water

    • Gloves (we will have some, but they are not the best)

    • Picnic lunch

 What will happen:

  • At 11am, we will meet in the parking lot and have a quick orientation for the session.

  • We will spend approx. 1-2 hours cleaning our assigned area, picking up trash and putting it in to the provided bags.

  • Once we are done cleaning, we will find a nice spot to have a picnic lunch and plan out the activities for our upcoming minicamp!

What if it snows?

  • If the event is cancelled due to weather, the City of Calgary will announce the event's cancellation the day before. So, if the weather seems iffy, check your inboxes for an e-news from CISV Calgary announcing the cancellation.

See you there!
