Lakeside is Co-Sponsoring this event!
On this day trip we will travel to visit some of the sites on the Underground Railroad and hear the stories of those who conspired to join in God’s clandestine work in our Presbytery’s History. This will be a communal event as we will board a bus at the Presbytery office, travel to New Richmond, Ripley, and other sites as well as back in time in our imaginations.
Fun fact: Dr. Will Umphres will be a guest speaker!

Spend some time learning some basic cake decorating skills alongside Linda Glover as she works to create a birthday cake for a child in foster care with our partners at DCCH. This is a mission focus of LPC’s since March of 2020 and Linda would love to share more about the project while sharing in fellowship and learning. She will teach you some basic piping, color mixing tips, and more.

The Lenten
“PB&J Challenge” is back!
|
The Emergency Shelter is always in need of sack meals to give out to folks and we want to help: we are challenging households to make 10 sack meals during Lent!
Each sack should include a PB&J sandwich and some non-perishable items like chips, fruit cups, granola bars, or other items. You can deliver them yourself to the new Emergency Shelter location - or - we'll deliver these for you on Thursday March 30th if dropped off at church by 11 a.m.
Want to make sandwiches with friends? Join us TOMORROW Saturday, March 18th at 10:00 a.m. for some intergenerational sandwich making.

One Great Hour of Sharing
February 22- April 9
|
During Lent, we celebrate that God connects with us through Jesus’ resurrection, and connects us with “those who have least.” One Great Hour of Sharing is the single, largest way that Presbyterians come together to work for a better world by advancing the causes of justice, resilience, and sustainability.
Every time we set the table where all hungry hearts can eat;
every time we welcome neighbors and we add and extra seat;
and every time we live as servants,
free to wash each other's feet,
In our living, in our giving,
we are there.
