Special Blessing on November 13 and 14
In honor of Veterans Day, the clergy will offer a special blessing at all services this weekend. We encourage our veterans to wear their uniforms and insignia to church this Sunday, November 14.

Nursery Care
The Nursery for children through age 4 is open Sunday, 9 a.m.–noon. The nursery is located downstairs and is accessed by the stairwell next to the entry to the sanctuary.
Children's Chapel
Before the gospel, children follow the acolyte with the dove cross to the Chapel, where a children’s book about faith is read and time for conversation, prayer, and response is given. Children are returned to the Sanctuary for the Peace.

The Holy Comforter Outreach Team is currently accepting applications for grant funding from organizations that serve God’s people in need—once again this year, that need is especially great. We are particularly interested in assisting organizations with which members of our congregation work or volunteer, and whose mission aligns with our committee’s statement of purpose. Christmas Owl
Pennywise will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland for your Christmas shopping starting Tuesday November 16. We have holiday décor, sweaters, and more! If you are interested in helping in the backroom sorting and pricing—that is where all the magic of Pennywise begins. The Giving Table is Underway!

Stop by the Christmas Giving Table in the narthex to find out how you can help support local charities this year. Donations will be collected in the narthex and online HERE (under “Funds” choose ECW Christmas Giving Table). There are a total of six charities. And good news—Salvation Army stockings are back! The Hate U Give
Book & Movie Club: The Hate U Give

Based on a true story, this young adult book tells about a 16-year-old girl who witnesses the police shooting of a childhood friend and becomes involved in the fight against criminal injustice. The book was later made into a movie. Our church library has a copy of the book and you may rent/buy the movie on Amazon Prime or view it through various streaming services. Support for Britepaths Families
Thank you for your support of local families in need through our ministry partner Britepaths. This November, we will be providing gift cards for food, toiletries, and household supplies to support 30 Britepaths client families. Couple on a Hill
The Amazing Couples Race—Date Night Edition

Please join us Saturday, December 11 for a date night you won't forget! Couples will compete in a 90-minute challenge including stops around Vienna, starting with picking up your challenge packet at Holy Comforter any time between 2:30 and 5:30 p.m. The couple who completes the most challenges in the shortest amount of time will win a gift card to Great American Restaurants. Childcare will not be provided at the church, but contact us for a list of teens who babysit, or children could even accompany adults on the adventure.
