Getting to Know God_ Self_ and Others
It is my hope that those who continue to consider their support for our parish will say yes to the future of our community of faith with a pledge for 2019. There are three easy ways to pledge: return the pledge card you received by mail, visit the Stewardship Committee table in the narthex this Sunday, or simply pledge online HERE today.

I leave you with an excerpt from last Sunday's service with a passage from the collect: "Mercifully grant that the peoples of the earth, divided and enslaved by sin, may be freed and brought together under his most gracious rule; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen."

Holy Comforter Music
Holy Comforter Choirs
Advent Festival of Lessons and Carols
This Sunday, December 2
5 p.m.; Sanctuary
Join Holy Comforter's choirs for the annual Festival of Lessons and Carols for Advent. This service is modeled after the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols for Christmas from King's College, Cambridge. Eric Milner-White, the former Dean of King's, created both the Advent and Christmas Festivals, but distinguished the purpose of the Advent service as "not to celebrate Christmas, but to expect it." Holy Comforter's service will include a dramatic procession, readings, hymns, anthems, and organ music. There will be a festive reception following the service.
Adult Forum:

Parishioner Norma Williamson will lead us in a discussion and exploration of Thessalonians 3:9-13. As Paul encouraged the Thessalonian community, adults will explore ways to open themselves and others to Advent's encouragement and hope.
