Becoming Beloved Community
Donate Blood TODAY

Blood donation is a community responsibility—it is the loving gift of life. That's why Becoming Beloved Community is hosting a community Red Cross Blood Drive. Appointments are available 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Our goal is to collect 40 units of blood, saving over 100 lives! Register online or use the Blood Donor American Red Cross app.

The Church Cracked Open
Book and Movie Club: The Church Cracked Open
Monday, September 20; 7 p.m. on Zoom

The Church Cracked Open invites us to surrender privilege and redefine church, not just for the sake of others, but for our own salvation and liberation. Stephanie Spellers is the Presiding Bishop’s Canon for Evangelism, Reconciliation, and Creation. The book is about 150 pages, and is available for $15 print version, and $11 on Kindle. Please read ahead of time and we’ll discuss during the Zoom call.

One Night in Miami

One Night in Miami is a fictionalized account of a February 1964 meeting of Malcolm X, Cassius Clay, Jim Brown, and Sam Cooke as they discuss the responsibility of being successful Black men during the civil rights movement. It's available only on Amazon Prime. If not a member you can get Prime for a 30-day free trial. Please view ahead of time and we’ll discuss it during the Zoom call.
Sunday, October 3 is the first day of in-person Sunday School for children, pre-kindergarten through 6th Grade. All children must be registered in order to ensure we have enough teachers in place. Join the Church Nursery Team…
Do you love little kids? Are you patient and kind? Do you enjoy being a little silly? Consider joining the church nursery team during Sunday services (every Sunday or one or two Sunday’s a month) and occasionally during church activities. The pay is $15 an hour. There's lots of laughs, giggles, toys, puzzles, games, music, and love in the nursery. Interested? Contact Patti Boerger.

Taizé Contemplative Worship
Sunday, September 26; 5 p.m. in St. Mary’s Chapel

Join us for a powerful and moving combination of song and scripture featuring lush greenery, candles, icons, and considerable time spent in silent meditation. Congregational singing is temporarily suspended due to the increased infection rate of COVID-19 and the Delta variant, however, choral singing will be provided by a small section of the Choir. Masks will be required of all worshipers.
Vienna Crop Hunger Walk

Pennywise is looking for Halloween and Thanksgiving items you would like to donate. We would love Halloween costumes as well as decorations. Medical Item Lending Closet
The Senior Saints have established a Medical Items Lending Closet. The items can be borrowed for as long as needed. The Closet will also accept donations—no electrical items please. The Closet has walkers, crutches, rollator, and more. To borrow an item contact Sheryl Watson or Richard Fitzsimmons.
