Spring is in the air, and we are busy as bees here at Civiltec, whether beginning work on exciting new projects or making great progress on existing projects. 

In this newsletter, you will read about the progress we've made the on San Gabriel Valley Water Company water treatment plant as well as a spotlight on Civiltec's own Anthony Herda.

B6 Nitrate Treatment Plant Construction

Structural Improvement Phase Completed

The San Gabriel Valley Water Company  (SGVWC) B6 Nitrate Treatment Plant Plant construction is moving forward. The structural improvements phase of the project is completed and the foundation is laid for the setting of treatment vessels and ancillary equipment for the nitrate removal system. Equipment has been delivered and anchored to the plant. This equipment will be necessary for effective removal and blending of the nitrate constituent found in the existing water matrix. Once completed, the renovated plant will remove of nitrates by utilizing nitrate-selective resins through and internal bypass and mixing system to economize and optimize plant operations to meet water quality requirements.  Civiltec has led design of the project and is currently overseeing plant construction since 2013. As Planning Services Manager, Mr. Herda's responsibilities include master planning, management planning, strategic planning, conceptual design, forensics, valuation and predictive modeling.
