We value our partnerships with non-profits, city leaders, private businesses, other agencies and customers. We make more progress when we work together, and everyone can help keep our waterways clean. I invite you to join us at a volunteer event. It’s a good way to learn how you can help protect our water.

I’m excited to share that our 2025 Popular Annual Financial Report has received the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA).

The GFOA created the Popular Annual Financial Reporting Awards Program to help state and local governments share important financial information in a way that is clear and easy for everyone to understand, even if they do not have a background in public finance. 

One of our strategic goals is to show fiscal responsibility by being transparent with our finances. We make sure to manage ratepayer dollars carefully, share clear financial information, and earn our customer's trust. It feels great to see our efforts recognized.

$330,000 in RiverHealth Stewardship Grants Awarded to Protect our Watersheds

We are pleased to announce the list of this year’s recipients of grants from our RiverHealth Stewardship Program.

The grants will support a variety of activities that restore habitat, manage invasive plant species, organize community volunteer events, and remove trash from waterways while enhancing water quality.

Willamette Pump Station and Force Main Project

The Willamette Pump Station and Force Main have been vital components of West Linn's sewer infrastructure since 1986. Now, after nearly four decades of reliable service, upgrades and expansion are needed so WES can continue delivering a strong, dependable sewer system for the community. The Willamette pump station is essential infrastructure that must function around the clock, every day, to move wastewater safely from West Linn across the Willamette River to our Tri-City Water Resource Recovery Facility in Oregon City.

The Willamette Pump Station and Force Main Project will relocate the current pump station and raise key equipment above the flood elevation to improve access and emergency response during extreme weather events. New, more reliable, and energy-efficient pumps and other equipment will also be part of the project to increase the reliability and capacity of the system. This project will also replace the existing force main and gravity sewer pipes connected to the pump station. The pipes will be rerouted and upsized to provide a more stable path across the Willamette River and increased capacity to limit potential overflows from the system. This project will ensure continued reliable service into the future.

Waterway Cleanup Series Wrap-Up at High Rocks Park

Join SOLVE and Clackamas Water Environment Services for the wrap-up event of the Waterway Cleanup Series on September 16 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. We are looking for volunteers like you, dedicated to making a meaningful impact, and help us clean up High Rocks Park.  

We will be meeting up at the Cross Park sign in Gladstone (see photo above) near the 82nd Drive Pedestrian Bridge.

To show our appreciation, all volunteers will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a prize. Don’t miss this opportunity to contribute to a great cause and have a chance to win!

Last year, 1,696 volunteers helped us remove more than 30,000 pounds of trash from Clackamas County’s waterways and natural areas.
