What We Do
Since 2008, Clothes To Kids of Denver (CTKD) has provided more than 29,000 school wardrobes to students in need throughout the Denver Metro area.

Why is an appropriate wardrobe so important?

For children and teens, clothing is more than a basic need -- it's key to their success in school. When students have quality clothing that helps them feel confident, they are more likely to attend school with the self-esteem needed to succeed academically.

At CTKD, students shop in a store-like environment with the help of staff and volunteers who are dedicated to providing a high level of personalized service. Students are invited to shop twice per year.

Recently, CTKD expanded its service area to include ten Denver Metro counties. That expansion means that 190,000 students are now eligible to shop at CTKD.

How Much Does a Wardrobe Cost?

It costs CTKD about $50 to furnish a wardrobe for one child.

Help us ensure we have enough wardrobes to supply this fall's students with the clothes they need to succeed.

From the Executive Director

In a sign of what may be things to come throughout 2016, we saw a 45 percent increase in client traffic in this store for the first quarter of 2016, a new record for the number of students served. If that demand for school clothing continues, we'll need even more clothing donations to make sure no student is turned away. Check out the list in our sidebar to learn more the clothing items we need most.

As always, we appreciate your support in whatever way you are able to contribute. Thanks to you, we're able to serve more and more students in the Denver Metro area each year!

Warm regards,

Executive Director

Introducing Our New Volunteer Coordinator, Eileen Robinson

We're thrilled to welcome Eileen Robinson to the role of volunteer coordinator for Clothes To Kids of Denver. Eileen brings a wealth of familiarity with our organization to her new position. She began to support Clothes To Kids of Denver first as a donor and then as a volunteer in the store. She has also served as a vital member of our Community Action Council.

Before moving to Denver from Boston, Eileen worked in various roles in the healthcare information technology industry. After moving to Denver and starting her family, she decided to stay home with her two young sons. As the boys got older, Eileen and her family volunteered in their church and school. After her children started elementary school, she put her project management skills to good use as the adult leader of an after-school club for students called the Community Action Team.

"As leader of the Community Action Team, I help kids gain an appreciation of the greater world around them through various service projects. Along the way, they learn that not everyone leads the same life as they do, that little actions add up to make a big difference, and that kids can very much impact the world around them," says Eileen.

In her spare time, Eileen loves to garden and knit. As a family, Eileen, her husband and their two boys love to travel, ski and spend time with their Italian greyhound, Toby.

Eileen encourages those interested in learning more about volunteer opportunities with Clothes To Kids of Denver to contact her and to check out more information on our website:
