Young Artist Donates to CRS

Keira Scott knew she wanted to do something to support people who were finding themselves out of work during the first months of the Covid pandemic. She decided to use her love of painting watercolors to raise money for CRS!  She sold beautiful prints for $20 each.
Thank you Keira, we are so grateful for your support!

CHARITY BALL NEWS

Due to the uncertainties of planning an event during a global pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to change the 2021 Charity Ball to a virtual event.  While we will miss gathering with you in person to celebrate CRS and all of the good things we do in our community, we need to make the health and safety of our guests, staff and volunteers our top priority.

The Charity Ball committee will be meeting soon to begin planning a truly special virtual event.  Mark your calendar for Saturday, January 30, 2021 and watch for exciting details to follow!

Meijer Simply Give Campaign

Meijer will once again be inviting their customers to join a combined effort to fight hunger by purchasing the $10 Simply Give donation cards through in-store displays located at each check-out register.  The campaign will run from Sunday, August 23, 2020 through Saturday, September 26.

Meijer's 2019 Simply Give Campaign resulted in a donation to CRS of $5,070 in food only gift cards that we used to purchase items for our food pantry! Meijer is a family company focused on enriching the lives in the communities they serve, especially during these challenging times. We are grateful for the support that we receive!
BIRTHDAY BOXES!

Anakah Spaetzel, age 9, raised funds to create 10 "Birthday Bags" for our young clients. Each bag is filled with fun items like games, party hats, cake mixes, etc.  What a generous and thoughtful way to make a child's birthday party more special. Thank you Anakah!
THANK YOU!

We are supported by the most generous people!  We recently received this anonymous letter with a $20 bill enclosed. It is very heartwarming to receive a message like this!
SOUPer Bowl XI

Due to the challenges associated with this year's school openings and sports schedules, we have decided to postpone the SOUPer Bowl Food Drive that was scheduled for Friday, August 28, 2020. We hope to reschedule it around another Avon vs. Avon Lake sporting event in the winter or spring.

Our food pantry exists thanks to so many who generously donate.  We currently are in need of cleaning supplies, especially all-purpose cleaners. laundry detergent and Clorox wipes.

Thank you for your generous support in helping to keep our pantry stocked!
