Thank you for supporting the

CRS Holiday Assistance Programs

This year we received overwhelming support for our many different Holiday Assistance programs. These programs are supported entirely by donations that we receive from individuals, churches, businesses, civic organizations, giving trees and schools. Each donation is given with thought and kindness that we have the pleasure of passing along to the families we serve.

Santa’s Workshop gave CRS parents an opportunity to select a coat, pajamas and toys for each of their children. We also offer Christmas stockings for teens, family baskets, non-perishable food and a gift card for perishables. Not to be forgotten, senior citizens also received holiday gift bags filled with special items they are sure to love.

Without the support of this generous community, we would not be able to offer this kind of holiday assistance. There are far too many people and groups to acknowledge here, as we received more than 130 individual donations, but please know that we are grateful for each and every one of you. Special thanks to the following for their extremely generous donations: Evereve-Crocker Park, Avon Local Schools PTA’s, Holy Trinity Church, Miss Kristin’s Dance Studio, GenOn, Avon Lake Police Department, Christ Church Westshore, Avon Lake United Church of Christ, Curtis and Niccole McEwen and the Avon-On-The-Lake Garden Club. We would also like to thank Bucky Kopf and VIP Property Management, for providing the space where we held our Santa’s Workshop.

The donations we received helped brighten the lives of 132 Avon and Avon Lake families (312 children and 56 senior citizens). Thank you to everyone who helped us make this holiday season a special time for our CRS families. We are so fortunate to live in such a caring community.

MEIJER HOLIDAY SIMPLY GIVE CAMPAIGN

We are pleased to announce that the 2021 Holiday Simply Give Campaign was a huge success! CRS received $2,490 in food-only gift cards that can be used to purchase items for our food pantry. The total donation includes generous contributions made by local Meijer customers, Meijer's vendor partners and Meijer's corporate donations. Thank you to everyone that supported the Simple Give Campaign!

Caring Hearts Charity Ball

CHARITY BALL NEWS

We have made the decision to reschedule the Caring Hearts Charity Ball which was originally scheduled for January 29, 2022. We are working with our vendors to choose a date when we feel more comfortable gathering for an in-person event. Our top priority is the health of our guests, staff and volunteers and we look forward to an event where we can gather and engage with our guests. We hope to make an announcement of the new date soon.

This is in addition to the many individuals who bring donations to the CRS office on a daily basis.
