33rd Annual Charity Ball
April 2, 2022
On behalf of the families we serve, we would like to give heartfelt thanks to all the people that made this years Caring Hearts Charity Ball a huge success! The generosity of our sponsors, donors, volunteers and 275 guests allowed us to raise over $108,000. It is because of this generosity that CRS is able to continue our mission of diminishing the effects of poverty in Avon and Avon Lake!
John T. Shook Award

The 2022 John T. Shook Community Service Award was presented to Mike Kral at the Charity Ball on April 2, 2022. For over 20 years, Mike has volunteered his graphic design expertise to CRS by designing logos, invitations, flyers and programs for all of our special events including the Charity Ball, SOUPer Bowl, Hooks for Hunger and more. Congratulations to James Miller for winning the beautiful Hearts On Fire diamond earrings that were raffled off at the Charity Ball! These earrings, donated by Peter & Co. Jewelers, were valued at $6,990. Only 100 tickets were available for this exclusive opportunity! All raffle tickets were sold which means the jewelry raffle raised $10,000 to benefit CRS!
Mother's Day is Sunday, May 8th and we will be presenting our moms with gift bags filled with special items to make them feel the love! If you would like to donate to this project, we will be accepting donations until Friday, May 29th. We'll be collecting items such as small boxes of chocolates, specialty soaps/lotions, tea, gourmet boxed cookies, note cards and stamps, etc. Drop offs can be made in the alley behind our office during regular business hours (Monday - Friday between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM). Just ring the doorbell next to the CRS sign and someone will open the door! Thanks!
