May Volunteer Opportunities

UMass Chan employees have the option of volunteering their time through the UMass Chan Cares volunteer paid time off (Volunteer PTO) initiative. Employees may use up to 16 hours of scheduled work time per year to support their favorite causes and institutions as volunteers. Those interested in volunteering may 1) volunteer individually, 2) seek assistance from the Office of Community and Government Relations (OCGR) to arrange a departmental volunteer effort, or 3) participate in one of the school-wide monthly volunteer activities organized by OCGR. May volunteer opportunities include:

Opportuntiies to Engage in the Community

UMass Chan sponsors many events supporting local non-profit organizations. With these sponsorships there are often opportunities to attend events – dinners, award ceremonies, workshops – which offer a chance to meet with members of the local community and learn about the important work of these non-profit organizations.  Recent examples include tickets to a night at the Ecotarium and a mini golf tournament benefiting the Worcester libraries. If you would like to be apprised of these opportunities as they arise, please email OCGR.
