My Quilty Friends...
Well, this newsletter started out as May news but before I knew it, time flew by and now it's June. As most of you know, in addition to owning Compass Point Quilts, I also work full-time at an elementary school as the principal's admin assistant. So...what does that mean??? It means that we are on a count down to the last day of school and summer hours!!! Yippee!! Yes, I do still work during the summer, but we have a shortened work day and only work a half day on Fridays, which to me means more time to sew!! I have a couple of projects that I want to finish up and a few new ones in mind to start.
This coming week, Jacqueline de Jonge of BeColourful will be arriving in New England for our second 2017 retreat in Saco, ME. I'm very much looking forward to spending another 4 days with Jacqueline and meeting the twenty wonderful ladies that will be attending the retreat! The 2018 retreats with Jacqueline in April (there's one spot left) and October (full) filled so quickly, but don't worry, if you didn't sign up for the 2018 retreats, we have already secured dates for 2019 - yikes - this seems so far away, but it will be here before we know it! These retreats wouldn't be possible without wonderful organization and assistance by Penny Hoyt of Quilting with Friends. Without a doubt, Penny runs the best retreats in New England!! You should check out her website at
www.quiltingwithfriends.com. In addition to the Jacqueline retreats, she also runs 4+ get-a-way quilting retreats, mystery bus trips, and quilt show bus trips!!
I'm really excited about the new fabrics that have arrived recently and will be arriving over the next few weeks! Sometime later this month or early July we will have our Fall, Halloween, Holiday, and Winter batik collections out along with coordinating patterns.

2017 Sit-n-Sew Saturday Dates

oin me at CPQ for a full day of fun, friendship, and uninterrupted sewing and quilting. Sit-n-Sew Saturdays will be held every Saturday from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Start a new project, bring a UFO, or several of them! Any type of project can be worked on! Join me for the day and invite a friend or two or three to join you! Pack a lunch or order out...drinks are on CPQ for the day!
To allow everyone a chance to attend a Sit-n-Sew, please sign up for only one (1) Saturday per month and if there is space available, I will open the enrollment up to anyone that might want to attend an additional Saturday.
