Our Mission is to represent the citizens of Cook Inlet in promoting environmentally safe marine transportation and oil facility operations in Cook Inlet.
Cook Inlet RCAC launches a new website
It's a new year and a new look for Cook Inlet RCAC. For the past several months, we have been working diligently to build a website that better reflects who we are and our enormous body of work. Now when you visit www.circac.org, you'll be able to access more research, read our comments on contingency plans and regulations, plan with a current calendar of events and enjoy a broader array of photographs. Trouble navigating? Use our new search engine. We guarantee it will help you get where you want to go. With our new website, e-newsletter and social media, we are striving to keep our stakeholders as well-informed as you deserve to be. Please bookmark www.circac.org and visit often.

Upcoming 2014 elections

Since its inception, the Cook Inlet RCAC has formed partnerships and encouraged consensus decision making. Through this process we bring stakeholders together to create environmental monitoring and oil spill prevention programs to promote safe production and transportation of oil in Cook Inlet.

Our Board of Directors consists of representatives of 13 stakeholder organizations (and their alternates) that serve 3-year terms. These 3-year terms expire on a rotating basis, so in any given year we may fill 4 or 5 seats. Read more

Board presentations available

The board of directors met for two very full days on December 5 and 6, in Anchorage. This was our last Council meeting of 2013, and the agenda was packed.

A common theme throughout the presentations was a willingness for information sharing across disciplines. Among the highlights were updates on two projects that are of enormous interest to Cook Inlet: the Trans-Foreland Pipeline, a subsea pipeline for transporting oil across Cook Inlet; and the Alaska gasline project.

We also received in-depth briefings from the Port of Anchorage, U.S. Coast Guard, Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, Division of Spill Prevention and Response; XTO Energy, Cook Inlet Energy, Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Alaska Department of Fish & Game Habitat Division, Alaska SeaLife Center, Cook Inlet Spill Prevention & Response, Inc.; NOAA, Buccaneer Alaska, and Hilcorp Alaska. We have made the presentations available on our website.  Click here, to download.
