CA Board of Directors Hold Fall Meeting
Approve 2023 Operating Plan & Budget
CA's Board of Directors, chaired by P&G's Gulnara Gabidullina, held their fall meeting on November 11. The Board received updates on important issues, discussed strategic priorities, and approved the Association's 2023 Operating Plan & Budget which continues to prudently manage CA's finances in the "post-COVID" world. The focus of CA continues to be the advancement of our members' interests on critical issues such as the Self-Care Framework, CEPA Modernization, compliance and enforcement, plastics, and more.
The Board also paid tribute to long time industry veteran Jim Hicks who will be retiring as our Director of Beauty Publications & Awards at the end of this year. After a long and highly respected career with Rogers as publisher of Cosmetics magazine, where he founded the Canadian Outstanding Service Awards (COSA) and the Canadian Fragrance Awards, Jim came to work with CA when we acquired these properties some years ago. We simply can’t thank or recognize Jim enough for his many contributions and the impact he has made for our industry over the years! It was through Jim’s foresight and dedicated effort that CA today can continue the work of the magazine and awards program. He will be greatly missed by his many colleagues here at Cosmetics Alliance as well as throughout our industry!
