"Charting a Course" for the Use of Cannabis in Cosmetics
Large Attendance at CA Member Strategy Session
The legalization of cannabis in Canada has created an exciting dialogue about the potential opportunity for growth and innovation in the health & wellness and beauty sectors.

Health Canada recently undertook a preliminary consultation on the “Potential Market for Cannabis Health Products” which is intended to identify the interest in and potential scope of “Cannabis Health Products” (or CHPs) in Canada. To gage member interest and inform our submission, Cosmetics Alliance hosted a Cannabis Member Briefing & Strategy Planning Session ...

Federal Election Forces Change in Date for Fall Regulatory Workshop
Event Moved to Dec 12 th in Ottawa
After consultations with Federal Officials, Cosmetics Alliance (CA) moved back the date of our Annual Fall Regulatory Workshop to December 12th. The new date will provide sufficient time to accommodate any changes to the Government, including Ministerial appointments, or policy matters that may come out of the October 21th general election. The previous date for the workshop (October 23st) is only two days after the federal election so it would have been highly impractical for government presenters to prepare relevant updates on the initiatives important to our industry.

The Chateau Laurier was able to accommodate moving our event to December 12th. We ask all CA members to adjust their schedules and travel arrangements, and we apologize for any inconvenience.
