Reading Takes Center Stage at Willow

School Hosts Family Reading Night Campout Turnout was great for Willow School's Family Reading Camp-Out on Oct. 11. We hope all our Wildcats and their loved ones had fun writing sight words and reading them by flashlight, visualizing and drawing “scary” monsters, and enjoying some wonderful books together. And many thanks to our new friends from HF High School who read aloud and sang campfire songs with us.

Panther Time Offers Something for Everyone

Panther Time, James Hart School's approach to intervention and enrichment, is off to a great start. Panther Time happens twice a week. Some students get the extra help they may need in one subject or another. Other students choose from among a variety of enrichment sessions such as introductions to the stock market, chess, or knitting; how to do college research; creating a wall mural for the school; silent study and reading; and guided meditation.

Churchill Crowns 1st House Challenge Champs

Congratulations to the Pink House for winning Churchill School's first house challenge! They earned the most points for carrying out the first theme--safety--during the first few weeks of school. As victors, the Pink House earned the right to take on their teachers in a scooter race on Oct. 12. The second theme of the year is respect. Stay tuned to see if the Pink House will continue their winning ways or if another House will take the crown.
