Comfort Ministry
Statement of Purpose
The Comfort Ministry is a support group for people who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 "Blessed be, God even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted by God."
Mission Statement
Our mission is to embrace, comfort and support those persons who have loss a loved one by:
*providing a nurturing and confidential environment to
express their feelings and concerns;
*sharing information and understanding concerning the
grieving process;
*by listening with understanding, and providing a network
of persons who are accessible in time of need;
*assisting in reconciling loss, renewing strength, and
restoring peace and joy;
*having available resource materials---pamphlets and
handouts;
*by offering emotional and spiritual support through prayer
and the Word of God.
Membership Requirement
To become a member of the Ministry, one needs to be a member of the Deliverance Evangelistic Church, and a person that understands the grieving process through experience and has the desire to help someone else.
