The Electrical Contractors’ Association of City of Chicago (ECA), held its October Membership meeting on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at the Erie Café in Chicago. The meeting was open to all signatory contractors, as the guest speaker was Mr. Don Finn, Local Union #134 IBEW Business Manager. The session was also highlighted by discussion of Association Committee activity, including Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) – next program is scheduled for November 17, 2022 at the Hyatt Lodge; Young Professionals upcoming Oracle Innovation Lab tour on Tuesday, November 15, 2022; educational programming – three more seminars for the Fall 2022, among other industry updates.

The National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) held its Annual Convention & Trade Show in Austin, TX. Nearly 60 registrants from the Chicago & Cook County Chapter enjoyed the premier educational programs, trade show, industry, as well as motivational speakers, a number of special Chapter events, a fun Opening night and a great Closing concert!

"Preplanning Beyond the Basics" Seminar -- October 26, 2022
The Electrical Contractors' Association of City of Chicago (ECA) Research and Education Committee was pleased to have presented a seminar called, "Preplanning Beyond the Basics." Theseminar was conducted by Mark Federle, Ph.D., P.E., COC; Marquette University.

The program is to be presented by Dr. Awad Hanna; University of Wisconsin-Madison. The session will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at Maggiano's Banquets in Oak Brook, IL.
Young Professionals of ECA Chicago -- Oracle Innovation Lab Tour -- November 15, 2022

ECA Diversity, Equity & Inclusion --"Taking Your Business to the Next Level" -- November 17, 2022

The NECA Safety Leadership Summit is a unique conference for expanding leadership skills to persons responsible for safety throughout the electrical industry, in addition to providing an avenue to create new safety leaders within an organization. Networking opportunities to interact with peers, other professionals, and executives are integral and key tenets to this Safety Leadership Summit.

ECA / NECA Safety Forum "Mandatory Updates for OSHA Recordkeeping"

The Electrical Contractors’ Association of City of Chicago (ECA) Safety Committee along with the Northeastern Illinois Chapter, NECA sponsored a special Complimentary program for ECA members, "Mandatory Updates for OSHA Recordkeeping," which was held Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at the DuPage / Local 701 JATC. The program was well attended. We thank the CBC and Mr. John Newquist, CBC for his time with the program!
