Annual EMS ISD Holiday Open House continues tradition of festivities and fun
More than 400 visitors from across our district and community stopped by the Board Room at the Central Administration Complex for the annual EMS ISD Holiday Open House on Wednesday, December 14. In its 43rd year, the annual event is an EMS tradition that brings together students, staff, families, and community to celebrate and experience the holidays at Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD.
Over the course of the day, we hosted more than 800 fine arts students representing 14 schools and 19 different fine arts groups.
This year our fine arts students performed in 20-minute increments. The performances began at 9 a.m. and concluded at 3 p.m. Performances included Wayside Middle School Beginning Boys Choir, Gililland Honor Choir, Lake Pointe Honor Choir, Comanche Springs' Singin' Spurs, Remington Point Panther Chorale, Parkview Musical Mavericks, Greenfield's Groovin' Gators, Ed Willkie Brass and Woodwind Ensembles, Creekview Mixed Choir, Saginaw HS choir, Boswell HS Varsity Choir, Chisholm Trail HS Ranger Vocal Band and Take 2, Willow Creek Honor Choir, Ed Willkie Advanced Choirs, Highland Choirs, Wayside Beginning Girls Choirs A and B, and the Boswell Jazz Orchestra and Jazz Combo.
Thank you to everyone who came out for food, fun, and fine arts! Click

Schools earn PBIS Pride Awards
PBIS, or Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, is used across the district as a strategy to reduce disciplinary incidents, increase a school's sense of safety, and support improved academic outcomes.
Each six weeks, all EMS ISD campuses are eligible to win a PBIS Pride Award recognizing effective and integrated PBIS practices. The District PBIS Committee created a site visit rubric that is used to evaluate current practices.
Congratulations to our first and second six weeks' campus winners!
