January Family Pajama Night

Over 60 EmPoWER friends & family members joined us at the Manville Public Library for January 15th's Family Pajama Night. Families & friends enjoyed movie theater-style popcorn and pizza while watching The Lego Movie from their cozy sleeping bags & blankets.  Many families in attendance marked this as their first EmPoWER Family Success Center event and cannot wait to visit the next!

Veteran's Appreciation Dinner

EmPoWER Somerset was overwhelmed with support and holiday cheer at the 3rd Annual Veteran's Appreciation Dinner at Community Hope. The dinner included a catered meal, home baked desserts, and festive songs performed by GS Junior Troop 60038. In addition to the dinner itself, each veteran also received a bag of groceries provided through generous donations made to the Family Success Center and a partnership with the Food Bank Network of Somerset County. Special thanks to the many EmPoWER Families who contributed and generous support from Senator Christopher "Kip" Bateman, Assemblywoman Donna Simon, Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli and Joan Biondi whose contributions made this annual event possible!

Our Mission:  EmPoWER Somerset assists individuals and families in making positive lifestyle choices and fosters healthy, drug free communities through education, collaboration, and linkages to resources.
