Englewood Schools and City of Englewood Events for the Month of December:

  • Monday, December 4 - Kindergarten Open Houses, 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at all elementary schools
  • Tuesday, December 5 - Englewood Education Foundation Fundraiser at Chipotle
  • Wednesday, December 6 - Groundbreaking Ceremony at ECE Maddox 2:00 p.m.
  • Friday, December 8 - Early Release Day
  • Tuesday, December 12 - Regular Board of Education Meeting, 6:30 p.m. 3800 S. Logan St.
  • Thursday, December 14 - Kindergarten Open Houses, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at all elementary schools
  • Friday, December 15 - Englewood Schools Night with the Denver Nuggets. Tickets available here.
  • Saturday, December 16 - Winter Wonderland at EHS 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, December 21 through Monday, January 8 - No School, Winter Break

Congratulations EHS Cheerleaders!
We'd like to congratulate the EHS Cheerleaders! In early November, the EHS Cheer team won the Colorado 7 League Cheer Competition. Additionally, six of the athletes earned all-conference honors. Drew Martinez won Player (cheerleader) of the year and Head Coach Ginger Rode won Coach of the Year for the Colorado 7 League! We are so proud of their hard work!
Groundbreaking at ECE Maddox
It's hard to believe, but we are getting ready to break ground on our third construction project!

The Early Childhood Education Center at Maddox will celebrate the kick-off of construction with a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday, December 6 at 2:00 p.m. We hope you'll be able to join us for this fun event at 700 W. Mansfield Ave.!

New Board Members Sworn In
Englewood voters elected three new School Board members during the November 7, 2017 election. Five candidates appeared on the ballot. The three candidates who received the highest number of votes were sworn in at the November 28, 2017, Board of Education meeting. These candidates were Jen Hubbard, Caty Husbands and Tena Prange.

After the new members were sworn in, the five member Board took votes on the new seats for each member.

The new Board member offices are as follows:
  • President: Tena Prange
  • 1st Vice President: Kevin Ebert
  • 2nd Vice President: Jen Hubbard
  • Secretary: Caty Husbands
  • Treasurer: Sharon Scheminske

Clayton Elementary Beam Signing
Students from Clayton Elementary got to add their signatures to beams that will be going into their new school.
