Brand/Strategic Plan Survey Now Open!
As we have previously shared, Englewood Schools is in the midst of two important projects: developing a brand for the district, and creating a new district strategic plan. The first phase of these projects was defined by extensive research. Our branding partner, Springboard Communications, conducted a dozen in-depth interviews with school and district leaders, and led a series of five focus group conversations with students, families, teachers and staff, and community members.

As we sent out invitations to take part in those focus groups, your response was overwhelming! More than 100 people offered their time and feedback. While this number exceeded what could be incorporated into focus group discussions, we wanted to create another opportunity to capture all of those ideas and for you to share your opinions. So, we have added a step to the research process -- an all-community survey.

If you wanted to participate in a focus group but couldn’t, or even if this is the first time you’re hearing about this -- please take a few moments to complete this survey. The survey includes just 10 questions and should take a few minutes to complete. The feedback you share will be folded into the branding and strategic-planning processes, and help ensure our district is headed in the right direction -- that we anticipate and plan for the needs of our students, families, staff, and community members for years to come.

Thank you to all of those who took part in an interview or focus group, and thank you in advance for your survey response!

Good News from Our Schools
ELA Tobacco Army
On January 30th, Englewood Leadership Academy's Tobacco Prevention Army met with City of Englewood representatives for the unveiling of the new city park signs. Tobacco Prevention Army has worked with the Tri-County Health Department, Parks and Recreation Committee and Englewood City Council to have signs printed that designate Englewood Parks as smoke and tobacco free. These signs are now in all Englewood parks. ELA's Tobacco Prevention Army has about 20 members ranging from 6th-8th grade and is led by teacher Julie White and Jessica Reeder from Tri-County Health. We are very excited for Englewood parks to be smoke and tobacco free and are very grateful to everyone who helped make this possible!
EHS Polar Plunge
On Saturday, February 22, some of Englewood High School's staff participated in the Polar Plunge -- a fundraising campaign for Special Olympics Colorado. The team raised $959 for athletes with disabilities and then took the plunge! Three of Englewood's police officers also plunged this year!
LDC Visits Salon and Spa Academy
