ASCEND Conference: Register by Aug. 15 and save
Monday-Wednesday, Oct. 25-27, 2021
|
|
Our chapter’s signature event, the ASCEND Conference (formerly known as the FPA of Minnesota Symposium), is returning this October.
This popular event is known across the country for providing incredible value, meaningful content and insightful speakers. We hope you'll join us!
Exciting things about the event include:
- This year's conference will be primarily virtual, making it accessible for people across Minnesota to join.
- We will host two in-person social events in the Twin Cities for attendees.
- The conference being primarily virtual means we can invite even more high profile speakers - like Mitch Anthony, author of “The New Retirementality." View the full agenda here.

Member shoutout: Lauri Salverda
|
|
This month we'd like to celebrate a FPA MN member who has been a part of our community for more than two decades: Lauri Salverda.
Lauri is a principal at Castle Rock Financial Planning and has been involved with FPA MN for more than 20 years. She served as President and Chair from 2011-2012. She has also been a long-term member of the Pro-Bono Committee, where she enjoyed living out her philanthropic values.
Two of her main volunteer activities continue to be Best Prep classroom education and providing free financial planning to families of fallen officers through the Minnesota Law Enforcement Memorial Association.
"The main reason I'm part of the FPA MN is that it makes me a better advisor," said Lauri. "FPA provides me opportunities for professional development, colleagues to turn to for advice and new ideas, and resources. Through this chapter I have joined a study group, the Goddesses of Financial Planning, which has provided me with incredible resources to discuss client scenarios, technology reviews, compliance - and great friends."
Thank you, Lauri, for your dedication to our chapter and our local financial planning community!
