DEI ZOOM Book Club
Wednesday, July 12, from 12:15-1:30 p.m.
Mark your calendar for the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee's inaugural book club meeting. For their first book discussion, the group will explore "Poverty, By America" by acclaimed Pulitzer prize-winning author Matthew Desmond. In this #1 New York Times nonfiction bestseller, Desmond "draws on history, research, and original reporting to show how affluent Americans knowingly, and unknowingly, keep poor people poor."
All perspectives and backgrounds are welcome. The committee's goal is to create an inclusive and thought-provoking environment where ideas are shared, personal growth is fostered and experiences are respected.
If you don't have access to "Poverty, By America," email [email protected], and you'll be sent the necessary resources for full participation.
Registration is required for this ZOOM event. More information.
